PROJECT OVERVIEW
EV Charging Station
A sweeping canopy defines this EV charging station in Al-Barha, Irbid, giving the architecture a sense of motion. Its continuous curve brings the showroom and charging areas into a unified composition, creating a recognizable silhouette within the urban setting.
The 600 m² project explores the relationship between a sculptural roof and a transparent enclosure. Floor-to-ceiling glass reveals the double-height showroom, allowing views to extend through the building and connecting activity inside with the approach outside. Above, the roof establishes a clear architectural identity; below, an ordered layout guides vehicles through arrival, charging, and departure.
As daylight fades, integrated lighting gives the canopy a luminous presence, while planting and understated paving define the spaces around it. These elements bring a welcoming scale to a setting shaped by vehicles and technology.
Conceived around movement and pause, the station turns the practical act of recharging into a spatial experience—one defined by shelter, visibility, and the continuity of a single sweeping line.

DESIGN CONCEPT
Movement into Form
The concept translates movement into a continuous architectural line. A sweeping canopy gathers the station’s functions beneath one fluid form, expressing motion above a place designed for pause.
Beneath it, transparent façades reveal the showroom and maintain visual connections across the site. The contrast between the curved roof and the ordered ground plane gives the project both expression and clarity, pairing a sculptural silhouette with intuitive circulation.
Light extends this idea after dark, emphasizing the canopy’s geometry and giving electric mobility a distinct architectural presence.
